U.S. drivers produce about 1.3 billion gallons of used motor oil each year. The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that 200 million gallons of that oil is improperly disposed. That’s bad news for the environment.

EcoPower offers a smarter way to manage used oil that would otherwise be dumped or burned as fuel. Our oil is made from reclaimed motor oil, which can be refined, recycled and reused indefinitely. This helps preserve our limited resources and keeps motor oil out of our precious land and water.

We also help keep plastic out of landfills by distributing 95% of our motor oil in bulk. Our only packaged product is a 5-quart bottle, for dealers who don’t have enough bulk storage space.  At DH Automotive all EcoPower oil is delivered in bulk, so there is no waste.

EcoPower's refining process is also easier on the environment. EcoPower takes up to 85% less energy to produce than oil refined from crude. Plus, just one gallon of reclaimed motor oil produces the same amount of engine oil as 42 gallons of crude.

This refining process not only produces products just as effective as products produced by conventional refining, it produces them with 300,000 metric tons less greenhouse gas emissions on a yearly basis compared to burning it for its one-time energy value. That’s equivalent to taking 200,000 cars off the road every year. How‘s that for a change?

Setting a new standard.

EcoPower doesn’t just live up to our high standards, it also meets or exceeds the toughest North American standards for engine protection. This includes the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the International Lubricant Standards Advisory Committee (ILSAC). EcoPower has also been approved by or meets standards of leading heavy-duty diesel engine manufacturers, including Caterpillar, Cummins, Mack, Detroit Diesel and Mercedes-Benz.

EcoPower oil starts from a better place.

EcoPower is made from reclaimed motor oil. Since reclaimed oil is already refined, it contains fewer contaminants than virgin crude. So we start with a cleaner base than oil refined from crude. This additional refining process eliminates remaining impurities.

EcoPower base oil is then blended with advanced performance additives that are specifically engineered to coat metal surfaces and provide superior protection against viscosity and thermal breakdown. EcoPower’s proven engine protection means a longer, healthier life for your engine.
